Seth Connelly - One time host of the Sit N Bull Open Mic, gave me my first feature ever so it's all his fault! In all seriousness they just don't make humans, musicians and producers any better than Seth.
Vykki Vox - One of the best decisions I have ever made was seeking out help to understand how to use my voice to the best of my ability to present my songs in the best light. Vykki has given me the confidence to do exactly that. She's a gifted teacher and phenomenol singer/songwriter. I'm certain that she packs more vocal power per square inch than any other performer out there. Check her out!
Amazing Things Arts Center - Michael Moran is a man of vision with an enormous heart and energy. We all owe him huge debt of gratitude for creating the wonderful Amazing Things Art Center that is the center of my life every Thursday night.
Dan Cloutier - Dan is the host of the Amazing Things Art Center Open Mic. He's an amazing singer/songwriter in his own right and good friend. Without the Open Mic and the support of my good friends there, I would never have developed as a songwriter and performer as much as I have over the past two years.
Sam Bayer - If Sam didn't create this incredibly helpful guide to the Open Mics for the Greater Boston area, I may never have ventured out of the comfort of my own home studio to try my hand at live performances. Check out his music while you are on his site, he's an incredible singer/songwriter to boot, his lyrics are some of the best i've heard. Thank you Sam!
Ellen Schmidt - How does she do it? Ellen is the hostess of Savoury Lane and Emerson Umbrella Open Mics. On top of that she is a prolific singer/songwriter and tireless performer. I don't think there's a day of the week where she isn't hosting something, playing somewhere, or recording something. She is truely an inspiration to us all!
Whole Wheat Radio - Jim Kloss has been supporting indpendent music from a remote outpost in Talkeetna, Alaska for the past 7 years. If you send him a CD he will play it on his webcast radio station. I sent him a home recorded version of my song "Same Sex Marriage", and there was never a more thrilling experience for me than to hear my song come up in random play on WWR. They also offer webcasts of live concerts that are amazing, I caught Antje Duvekots concert and it was a hoot, Reindeer sausage and all! One of these days I hope to make it up there, to express my gratitude personally!
David Elias, Guy Michetti & Lex Zaleta - David, Guy and Lex are amazing singer/songwriters who befriended me when I was trying to find my way around on a independent music site called Mixposure.com. If not for the support and encouragement that I received from them I may never have continued. Check out their music, it's awesome!
Kim Jennings - with the voice of an angel and lyrics that will sear your soul, Kim is one of the best singer/songwriters you've never heard of. Check out her music and get to know her you won't be sorry you did.
Perry Desmond-Davies - The first time I heard Perry perform her song "Hey Dad" I was hooked. She then floored me with her acapella song "Eyes Wide Open". She's a gifted singer/songwriter with a knack for capturing the struggles and triumphs of ordinary life in a way that is powerful yet gentle. Get her new CD aptly named "Sweet Ride". It most certainly is.
John MacLean - A modern day Woody Guthrie, John brings the stories of ordinary men and women to life with his beautiful and sometimes haunting tales while shining a spot light on the best and worst of mankind. His CD "Letters Home" is a masterpiece, I've worn tracks in my copy, you will too!
